Sounds like the first word of a poem, but it isn’t.  It is the imperative form of the verb.

More to the point, I wanted to break down the conjugation for wake, since I, and so many others, seem to be confused, especially with the past participle, which is woken.  Not awoken, not awokened – woken.  To wit: I have woken from a deep slumber.
